Does a HOXB13 mutation affect cancer treatment options?

Some research has linked HOXB13 mutations to an increased risk for more aggressive cancer. But not all research studies on aggressive prostate cancer have found a connection to HOXB13.

Currently there are no targeted treatments or guidelines specifically for people with a HOXB13 mutation. People with a HOXB13 mutation who have been diagnosed with cancer may benefit from testing and may qualify for clinical trials looking for more effective treatments for cancer.
