Breast Cancer Chemoprevention

Learn about the steps that people at high risk for cancer can take to manage their risk and protect their health.


Chemoprevention is the use of medication to lower cancer risk in healthy but high-risk people. Currently, chemoprevention for women at high-risk for breast cancer may involve a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) or an aromatase inhibitor.
