Hear from FORCE Medical Board Advisor & RMA of New York reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist Matthew Lederman, MD as he explains how inherited mutations impacts people's fertility and their ability to conceive pre and post-chemotherapy or radiation treatment. He will discuss fertility preservation options available to BRCA1/2 carriers and previvors through use of modern reproductive technologies such as egg and embryo freezing, and will also describe how to navigate the family building process using the latest IVF technologies such as preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) which enables physicians to implant embryos free of hereditary mutations.
