- The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has a searchable Plastic Surgeon Referral Service database.
Other ways to find experts
- Register for the FORCE Message Boards and post on the Find a Specialist board to connect with other people who share your situation.
- The National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer centers have specialists to manage the symptoms and side effects from cancer prevention or treatment.

Which expert do you need?
Breast cancer screening, prevention and diagnosis is usually managed by breast surgeons. People at high risk for breast cancer may also be followed by breast medical oncologists. If you are at high risk for breast cancer, you may want to search for a breast center. These are healthcare centers with experts who specialize in all aspects of breast health and disease.
When searching for a breast surgeon, select general surgeon under specialty, enter “breast” for subspecialty.
