RESTORE: A virtual study comparing 2 digital apps to improve mental and physical well-being of patients with stage I – 3 cancer

About the Study

Many cancer patients experience cancer-related distress, which includes psychological symptoms of anxiety and depression. The RESTORE study will enroll up to 415 adults who have been diagnosed with I-III cancer. The goal is to test how effective two different apps are at improving physical and mental health. Participants use their smartphone or tablet to download and access their assigned treatment app without ever needing to visit a clinic in person.

What the Study Entails

RESTORE is a completely virtual clinical trial that lasts about 12 weeks. Participating in the study requires approximately 12-20 hours of time (on average, about 1-2 hours per week).

Participants are assigned to a mobile app-based program that can be downloaded to their smartphone or tablet. Throughout the study, they use the app to complete weekly sessions. Participants also complete 4 online surveys about their symptoms, quality of life, and other experiences.

To see if you’re eligible, complete a brief screening survey at https://bit.ly/RestoreClinicalTrial_EnrollToday

Compensation

Participants receive $25 after completing each questionnaire and $100 at the end of the study for using their app and competing all questionnaires over the 12 weeks. Total possible compensation for participation in this study is up to $200.

Study Locations

This is a virtual trial – people can participate from anywhere in the United States
