BEACON is a survey designed to build a comprehensive understanding of the state of prostate cancer awareness and care from the perspectives of men at risk, patient/survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals 21 and older.

About the Study
The study will provide ZERO and the cancer patient, caregiver, research, and clinical communities with a rigorous roadmap to improve general education and awareness, refine referral patterns, and build toward a barrierless healthcare system for the disease. The study seeks input from individuals who may develop the disease, current patients and survivors, caregivers of patients and survivors, and healthcare professionals of all descriptions who manage cancer patients.

This Study is Open To:
To participate:
- Be a minimum of 21 years old
- Have some connection to cancer (patients/survivors, caregivers, healthcare providers) or be at risk for the disease (males, males at birth)
This Study is NOT Open To:
Anyone under the age of 21 may not participate.
What the Study Involves
Participants will be asked to review a privacy statement and confirm their eligibility before entering the survey. Afterward, based upon their connection to cancer (at risk, patient/survivor, caregiver, healthcare professional), they will be asked a series of general “get to know you” questions about their life and then several questions about their experience with healthcare and cancer specifically, tailored to their connection to cancer. Participants may skip any question they do not wish to answer or stop the survey at any time. Most participants should be able to complete the one-time survey in less than 20 minutes.
