What the Study Involves

Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups.

Group 1: Moodivate mobile app

  • Participants will receive a code to download the Moodivate app and will be asked to use it at least once a day. The app encourages users to identify activities that are meaningful or enjoyable, schedule activities, track daily activities, and record their mood.

Group 2: Educational materials

  • Participants will receive educational materials about managing mood and will be encouraged to discuss any questions with their oncology care provider. They will not be instructed to use the Moodivate app as part of the study.

All participants will complete electronic questionnaires about depressive symptoms and their study experiences each week for 8 weeks, followed by a final assessment at week 12. Participation lasts approximately 12 weeks.
