I volunteer for FORCE because when I was first diagnosed with a BRCA1 mutation in 2014, support groups were a lifeline for me. The FORCE website was critical in finding out more information about how to get the best care and treatment, and how to advocate for myself. Now that I'm on the other side of all my surgeries, I endeavor to be a cheerful and positive presence to show others that they will get through this, and that there is hope for the future.
Daria’s energy, compassion and leadership have made an extraordinary difference in our community, especially in her roles as a Facebook and Message Board Moderator and as a Virtual Community Leader for various support groups, including Previvor and LGBTQIA+. Thank you, Daria, for generously sharing your heart and time with our community.
