Whether you have been diagnosed with cancer, just learned about your hereditary cancer risk or have known about it for many years, trained FORCE volunteers are available to offer confidential support.
Hi! Our names are Stephanie Heisser and Briana Arnold and we are the Portland Volunteer Outreach Leaders for FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered! If you have any questions or are in need of support or information, please feel free to e-mail us. We are happy to chat about available resources, information, and support that you may find helpful. As you navigate your hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers experience, know that you are not alone and that you can reach out at any time. We look forward to hearing from you.
You can also be matched to someone who shares a similar experience as you through FORCE’s Peer Navigation Program. Learn more at www.facingourrisk.org/pnp.
Be sure to sign up (on the right side of this page) to receive critical health information and learn about our local networking and educational events via e-mail so we can stay connected. Like us on Facebook.
If you need immediate assistance, please contact Diane Rose, VP of Volunteer Programs.
You are invited to an informal social night on September 29th that includes dinner & drinks followed by a movie! We will gather at McMenamin's at 5:30 pm for dinner, drinks and relaxed discussion followed by a movie at 7:00 pm at Northwest Film Center’s Whitsell Auditorium.
Feel free to come to one or both! Check out the restaurant here and movie here. We will each have our own tab at dinner, and if you'd like to come to the movie, buy your tickets ahead of time here. Be sure to RSVP to Briana at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Attend the 11th annual Joining FORCEs Against Hereditary Cancer conference because hereditary cancer knowledge can be life-saving. This is an international conference designed by and for people and families affected by hereditary cancer and will present the latest research on these cancers and a wide range of topics about making medical decisions, quality-of-life and long-term health outcomes.
Attendees include people concerned about hereditary cancer: survivors, previvors, people with a mutation or family history of cancer, patient advocates, researchers, and health care providers who treat high-risk patients.
As an attendee, you will have the opportunity to enroll in research, meet world-renowned hereditary cancer experts, share experiences and network with others who have a first-hand understanding of all you are going through. We hope you’ll join us!
