Welcome to the home page for the Atlanta Network for FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered! Here you will find information on our local efforts to provide information, support, awareness, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers.

Sign up for FORCE‚Äôs new Peer Navigation Support Program! You can now get matched to a specially trained Peer Navigator volunteer who has traveled a similar journey as yours to receive confidential 1:1 phone support and a free personalized guide of expert-reviewed resources. You no longer need to spend time researching this important information and finding someone to talk to who understands the decisions you face. This program does it all for you. In addition, participation will empower you to make informed decisions with your healthcare providers.   

This program is for you if:

  • You are considering genetic testing or have tested positive for BRCA mutation or another gene associated with increased cancer risk.
  • You have recently been diagnosed with cancer.
  • You feel alone.
  • You feel pressure to quickly learn and understand the options available to manage cancer risk.
  • You want to obtain information that could empower you to make important decisions with your healthcare providers.
  • You are a survivor, previvor or a caregiver living in the United States.

Topics that you can select for your free personalized online guide include: genetic testing, legal protections, sharing with family, cancer treatment, risk management guidelines, screening for cancer, breast reconstruction, paying for services, quality of life issues, managing menopause, support, research and more.

What: Learn from other people who are navigating the hereditary cancer path. Help someone else by sharing your story. This is a great chance to meet some local area FORCE members and/or catch up with those you've met at previous get-togethers.

Do you have a family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer? Are you considering genetic testing or have you tested positive for a mutation in BRCA or another gene associated with increased cancer risk? You are not alone.

FORCE exists to improve the lives of individuals and families facing hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.

We hope you can join us!
