About the Study

The purpose of this study is to better understand the experiences of men who tested positive for a BRCA1 or BRCA2 genetic mutation.  It aims to explore participants' experiences with genetic counseling and genetic testing, perceptions of hereditary cancer risk, concerns related to their diagnosis and factors that may influence adherence to recommended cancer screening guidelines.

Findings from this research may help improve genetic counseling services and develop resources tailored to the needs of males with a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation.
