If you have any questions, please reach out to Johnna Hollis at [email protected]. If you have other concerns, you may reach out to the UAMS IRB.
We are doing a research survey for people who have a positive BRCA1 and/or BRCA2 mutation. We want to learn about your experience with genetic testing and the healthcare providers you worked with, such as genetic counselors and oncologists. Your answers will help us better understand what patients with BRCA1 and BRCA2 variants experience and how we can improve their care.
The survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You can take the survey on any device that has internet access.
This survey is anonymous. We will not ask for your name, date of birth, or anything else that can identify you. There will be some open-ended questions. Please do not include any personal or identifying information in the written responses. If you accidentally share something that could identify you, we will remove it and delete it from our records. Survey responses will be stored in secure University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) electronic systems.
The UAMS Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other institutional oversight offices may review the information we collect to make sure we are doing the research correctly. Data will not be stored for future studies, but it will be stored for future publication of this study.
Participation in this study is voluntary. Results of this study will be shared as a graduate thesis and eventually as a published article. You can decide not to participate in the study at any time, even after you have started the survey.
