About the Study
This is a long-term observational study designed to improve early detection and prevention of ovarian and other gynecologic cancers. Researchers collect blood, tissue, and other biological samples along with detailed health information over time.
The study also aims to better understand how gynecologic cancers develop in high-risk individuals and those undergoing gynecologic surgery.
What the Study Involves
There are 3 groups in this study:
Group 1: High-risk individuals
- Provide blood samples over time
- Complete questionnaires
- May provide tissue samples if undergoing surgery
Group 2: Surgical patients
- Provide tissue samples during planned gynecologic surgery
Group 3: People at average risk for cancer
- Provide samples for comparison
This Study is Open To:
Women ages 18–80 who:
- Are at increased risk for ovarian cancer
- Are undergoing gynecologic surgery
- Or are healthy individuals with no cancer history
This Study is Not Open To:
- Individuals younger than 18 or older than 80
- Individuals who do not meet the study criteria
