Dedication

To my favorite sister and best friend, Laura. I am so proud of you for fighting with all your heart, mind and soul. Thank you for the most awesome 34 -1/2 years you shared with me. You are in every memory in my heart and I will miss you so much. Love you and see you in Heaven, Vero

Personal Story

My sister Laura was one of the most amazing people I have ever known. Her charisma, charm as well as her sweet and loving personality earned her the love and respect of everyone that came into her life.

She was fun, loving, smart, beautiful, outgoing and a fighter. From the moment she came into our lives, she stole our hearts and never stopped amazing all those around her.

She was a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister and wife and the best mom ever. She dedicated her professional life to be an advocate to those that could not speak for themselves, especially children. She fought for social justice making the world a little better one person at a time. She touched the lives of many making a difference in all she did.

As she faced the reality of a cancer diagnosis, she gathered all her strength and began the fight, with her head held high and never gave up. She taught us many lessons along the way, a legacy of strength, unconditional love and love of life.

She left this life way too soon, with dreams unrealized and projects to be finished, but I know someday we will be together again and share with each other and our loved ones Eternal life. We miss you Chaparrita, you left a big hole in our hearts, but we know you are in a much more beautiful place and we'll see you again. Love 'ya, Vero
