Welcome to the home page for the Seattle Outreach network for FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered! Here you will find information on our local efforts to provide information, support, awareness, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.

"FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered is the only national nonprofit dedicated to awareness, advocacy, research and support for those affected by these cancers. About one million Americans carry a cancer-causing gene that puts them at high-risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Melanoma, prostate and pancreatic cancers are also associated with these genetic syndromes. Unfortunately, many individuals aren’t aware of their risk. FORCE educates and supports families as they learn and make decisions about their cancer risk, providing lifesaving information, resources, and support."

"As a lot of you know, but maybe some of you don't, I have been a member and Seattle Coordinator for a spectacular nonprofit called FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered for about three years. I came this organization shortly after I learned that my mother and I carry a mutation on our BRCA1 gene, which confers about an 87% lifetime risk of developing breast cancer."
What's new
Help support Seattle FORCE, Anna and Krystin as they raise funds for the FORCE Heroes Campaign. Supporting the Heroes Campaign will allow them to continue raising awareness for high risk individuals and families in the Seattle area.
