Please join us for our quarterly meet-and-greet with a potluck brunch.  At this meeting you will meet Tiffani DeMarco, a genetic counselor with over 17 years of experience counseling women  at-risk for or as identified as carrying a mutation in a hereditary cancer susceptibility gene. She joined INOVA's Institute of Translational Medicine (ITMI) in April of this year after building her career at Georgetown University, where her areas of expertise and research focused on family communication and support, including the development and facilitation of a support group for BRCA1/2  positive patients which she facilitated for over 9 years.  Tiffani is excited at the prospect of becoming involved in INOVA's Life with Cancer Program and hopes to continue to develop her work in family communication by collaborating on projects within ITMI focusing on whole genome sequencing.
In addition, you will hear information that was presented at the recent FORCE Conference.   This is also a great chance to meet other local people in similar situations, or to catch up with those you've met at previous FORCE gatherings.
