"It’s Holiday -2009, my sister Nancy has been diagnosed positive with the BRCA1 Breast & Ovarian Cancer gene. Wow! The doctors say that she has to have her ovaries and ther breasts removed in order to prevent Breast and Ovarian CANCER! Not Good: then the other shoe drops, this thing is hereditary."

"We’re grateful for the opportunity to acknowledge our grandmother, Lillian Byer, as our hero. She was one of many women in our family who died of breast and /or ovarian cancer. In fact, no woman on her side of the family has been unaffected by this disease. We are so fortunate that we have information and knowledge that our grandmother did not have. FORCE provided us the support, tools, resources, and knowledge we needed to confront our hereditary cancer and make important life-saving decisions for ourselves."

"On December 26, John & I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary! I tell people it is a miracle! The truth is we have been blessed with many miracles during the past 25 years! The three best miracles have been our children, Aaron, Dylan, & Zoey! As all parents do, John & I wish for our children a long, happy & healthy life. With that in mind, we can think of no better way to honor our anniversary than to contribute to FORCE."
