Breast cancer clinical trials are often identified by the stage of your diagnosis, (stage 0 or DCIS -> Stage 4 or metastatic cancer) and by the characteristics of the cancer cells (hormone receptor positive or negative, Her2neu positive or negative). Some breast cancer treatment clinical trials are only open to people who have certain tumor types or people who test positive for a BRCA or other inherited mutation.
