Personal Story

Sidney "Peter" Patterson was a Postman in Detroit for 25 years. Perhaps best known as a Bartender at the Raleigh House during its heyday, Peter was also the Head Bartender at the Olympia Room at the Joe Louis Arena. He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the Navy.

Sidney was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Patterson, cherished Father of Kelly (Chris) Stergiadis, Grant (Dawn) Patterson, Chanel (David) Kutek, Jason Patterson, Joshua Patterson, Stephanie Patterson and Stacey Sauvageat. He is also survived by his loving companion Ruth Newman. Sidney is the brother of Ruth (Michael) Koress and the late Jerry Patterson. And the proud Grandfather of 8.
