What is it?
Heroes is a personal giving campaign to raise funds for the fight against hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. It's also our way of honoring and shedding light on the heroes who are working along with FORCE in an effort to raise awareness of HBOC - and who may also be on their own personal journey to change the course of their loved ones future.
How do I do it?
Becoming a Hero is Easy!
- Set up your personal page. Use your page to share your story or tell us about your own hero.
- Share your page and your fundraising goal with your friends and family. Not sure what to write? We've got it covered! Download our sample email and customize it. (Don’t forget to share your page on Facebook and Twitter.)
- Need some inspiration? Check out the heroes that have already signed up!

Over one million people in the United States carry a BRCA gene mutation or other hereditary factors that put them at high risk for cancer. These individuals - their families and friends - rely on FORCE to provide information and critical resources that help spread hope and save lives.
Despite FORCE’s transformative impact on the hereditary breast and ovarian cancer HBOC) community, the need for our programs and services continues to grow.
Increasing demand for our resources has outpaced our ability to raise funds for the critical work we perform on a daily basis. Without your help, we will face our first-ever funding shortfall, which would significantly impact our ability to continue providing life-saving, life-changing, and empowering programs that impact so many.
FORCE does not receive any government funding and relies exclusively on the generosity of individuals, organizations and businesses who believe in our mission. Your support plays a vital role in ensuring that we can continue to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by HBOC.
