Cancer can run in families! Hereditary cancer can be devastating because it can affect entire families for generations!

• Almost 10% of breast cancer cases are hereditary.
• 15% of ovarian cancer cases are hereditary.
• A much larger number of people carry the gene mutation for these cancers and are unaware that they have a very high risk for cancer.

Families who are “at high risk” deserve access to the information and support that will help them to make informed decisions and be proactive participants in managing their risk.
