You inspire us every day with your accomplishments.
Channel your passion for fighting hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers into a custom event you create. The only limit is your imagination!
Wendy recently celebrated her 68th birthday and felt that this occasion was a great opportunity for her to raise money for FORCE. Having attained an age where she has all the material objects she needs to survive and thrive, she asked those who wanted to give her a gift to please make that gift a donation to FORCE. As Wendy says: "I'd rather they spend the money in a way that can help the world and this is my world."
Known affectionately as a "cosmic connector," Wendy is the fourth of six generations of a pioneering family living in Miami Beach. In 2010, Wendy, her sister Nancy, brother Artie and Mom Caryl all tested positive for the BRCA1 genetic mutation. Wendy and Nancy had prophylactic surgeries to lower their risks of developing breast and ovarian cancer. Their mom developed breast cancer at age 85 and thankfully is cancer-free now.
Wendy is a passionate cancer warrior. She spends time helping others going through their journey and doing fundraisers. She was a FORCE Volunteer Outreach Coordinator in South Florida from 2010-2013.
Wendy feels fortunate to have dodged the cancer "bullet" and blessed to be able to heal herself through helping others. She sees her life as blessed to be living with her soulmate for more than 30 years, working at the perfect job for 35 plus years and having a good life with great family and good health.
Thank you, Wendy, for all that you do to support FORCE and the hereditary cancer community!
