Show & Tell

Back by popular demand, our Show & Tell Room offers women who are contemplating mastectomy or reconstruction the opportunity to meet and learn in person from women who have had these procedures. Men may enter the lobby area of Show & Tell; the area reserved for showing and telling is open to women only. Drinks and refreshments will be served.

The Mutant Diaries: Unzipping My Genes, Brought to You by the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery

The Mutant Diaries  is a one-hour one-woman show performed by musician/composer Eva Moon. Upon learning she had a BRCA genetic mutation, Moon had to make a life-altering choice: remove her healthy breasts and ovaries or face terrifying odds of cancer. Live music, warmth and generous amounts of humor are all expertly woven in this story of her decision and the extraordinarily empowering results of that choice. Tickets are free but space is limited and requires pre-registration. Light theatre snacks will be served at the event. 

Pink and Blue Film Screening

PINK AND BLUE is an emotional journey that takes us through the lives of women and men who are dealing with genetic mutations and their related hereditary cancers. We meet the doctors and their patients who make the tough decisions on whether to have preventative surgeries or not. Director Alan M. Blassberg (who will join the screening) tells the story of how this disease ripped his family apart and what he must face as a BRCA 2 positive male. Light snacks will be served at the event. 

Pool Party

Let your hair down and relax after the conference at our free pool party! Dip your feet into our "gene pool”. The party will feature a cash bar and a party atmosphere.
