Session: Options for Managing Breast Cancer Risk

Women who are at increased risk of breast cancer due to inherited mutations in genes such as BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2, ATM, or CHEK2, or strong family history have many options for managing breast cancer risk. In this session you will learn about breast cancer screening guidelines for high-risk women, as well as options for reducing breast cancer risk including taking risk-reducing medications, removal of ovaries, and mastectomy as well as clinical trials that look at new methods to manage risk.
