Dr. Rebecca Sutphen is an Associate Professor of Oncologic Sciences, University of South Florida College of Medicine, Tampa, FL and Chief Medical Officer of Informed Medical Decisions. Dr. Sutphen received her medical degree from Temple University, Philadelphia, and completed her Residency in Pediatrics and a Fellowship in Human Genetics at the University of South Florida. Her research involves identification and management of hereditary cancer risk, strategies for early detection and prevention of cancer, and ways to increase consumer access to genetics experts. This is her 8th consecutive year serving as Co-Course Director of the Joining FORCEs Conference. Dr. Sutphen is a member of the FORCE Medical Advisory Board and Board of Directors, she is a collaborator on research projects, a fellow breast cancer survivor, and the co-Author along with Kathy Steligo and Sue Friedman, DMV of the book, Confronting Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer.
