forcelearningPlease join us for a special series of on-line seminars for people affected by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Our series features presentations by experts on topics of importance to our community. You can submit questions for our speakers to answer at the end of each webinar.

Who Should Attend?

The series is designed for people concerned about hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, cancer survivors, previvors, and health care providers.

How to Attend

  • You must be pre-registered. Simply click the title of the event(s) you want to attend to register. Complete the registration to receive the event link and call in phone number. You will need to register for EACH event separately.
  • You may dial into the event via the conference call number you receive or listen via your computer's speakers.
  • The FORCE webinar series uses Go To Meeting software. You will be sent information on installing the free Go to Meeting software program prior to attending along with a link for the event and phone number if you chose to dial in. (You may also listen via your computer.)
  • On the day of the event, about 10-15 minutes before the start time, please click the link you received by email to join our session. if you are listening through your computer speakers - there's nothing else to do. If you're using the phone line, call the number provided about 5 minutes before the webinar start time.

Update on the IMPACT Study and Implications for Men with BRCA Mutations
March 27, 2012, 7:00-8:00 PM Eastern Time, presented by Jacquelyn Powers, University of Pennsylvania

Jacquelyn Powers will discuss IMPACT, which is an international study that aims to discover whether screening to detect prostate cancer can be targeted at men who carry the BRCA1 and BRCA2 alterations, leading to an earlier diagnosis and improved survival. It also aims to discover whether men who carry these genetic alterations are more likely to die from the disease, and/or develop an aggressive form of the disease.
