Session: Breast reconstruction options

This 90-minute concurrent session will present an overview of the different
options for reconstruction after mastectomy. Kathy Steligo will discuss:

• the different types of breast and nipple reconstruction options
• the benefits and risks of each option
• the differences between immediate and delayed reconstruction
• what patients might expect from surgery and recovery from different procedures
• how people can decide which option and surgeon is right for them
  

This session is appropriate for:

• women who are considering or need to undergo mastectomy and immediate
  or delayed reconstruction
• family, friends, relatives, and loved ones of women who need to undergo mastectomy
  and/or reconstruction
• health care providers who care for women who need to undergo mastectomy and/or
