Session: In The Family Screening

This 90-minute concurrent session presents the documentary In The Family. The
documentary follows several individuals and families faced with hereditary cancer
and highlights many themes associated with BRCA and hereditary cancer including:

• challenges faced by young women with a BRCA mutation
• challenges faced by people of different ethnic backgrounds
  with regards to sharing information about hereditary cancer
  genetic counseling and testing
• communication and family dynamics challenges

This session is appropriate for:

• people with a BRCA mutation or hereditary cancer in the family
• parents/relatives/loved ones of people who carry a BRCA mutation
  or hereditary cancer in the family
• health care providers who provide care to people with hereditary cancer
• social workers/mental health care professionals who treat people with hereditary
