Session: Menopause and libido

Speaker: Andrew Kaunitz, MD

This 90-minute concurrent session will focus on management of symptoms
of early menopause, with and without hormone replacement. Dr. Kaunitz will present:

• the different types and variability of symptoms experienced by women after early
  menopause
• the benefits and risks of BRCA women managing surgical menopause with or
  without hormone replacement
• the types of hormone replacement available for managing menopause and their
  benefits, risks, and limitations
• alternatives to hormone replacement in managing menopausal symptoms
  

This session is appropriate for:

• survivors and previvors who have undergone early menopause
• survivors and previvors considering premenopausal prophylactic oophorectomy
• health care providers who treat survivors and previvors
• social workers/mental health care professionals who treat survivors and previvors
