Joining FORCEs History
FORCE's first annual symposium on hereditary breast and ovarian cancer was held February 10-11, 2006 at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Florida. More than 200 people from 28 states, 5 countries and 3 continents attended our conference on hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.
Our conference has grown steadily since this, with 370 attendees in 2007 and 470 in 2008. In 2009, our conference was moved to Orlando to allow for the continued growth. There were 520 partcipants in 2009 including 45 speakers/presenters, 57 scholarship recipients, and 53 health care professionals attending for continuing education.
