join us for a free, informal “orientation meet-and-greet” on Thursday, October 18th – 5:00 – 6:00 PM in
the Palm Cafe. Meet other first time attendees and pair up with seasoned FORCE members who have attended prior conferences. Start
your conference experience with a set of new friends! This event is free and
no registration is required.
Welcome Reception
Join us Thursday, October 18 8:00 – 9:30 PM in
Las Coquina (on the lobby floor) for a special
welcome reception offering dessert, wine, and art. Cost is $25 per person. Tickets
can be purchased through our conference registration page and
limited numbers of tickets will be available the night of the party.
Spouse Support Group
We’ll have a Spouse Support Group special meeting on Friday, October 19th at 7:30 PM. This meeting is free.
Show & Tell Room
Back by popular demand, our Show & Tell Room offers women who are contemplating mastectomy or reconstruction the opportunity to meet and learn in person from women who have had these procedures. Our Show & Tell
Room will be open Friday, October 19, 8:00 – 10:00 PM in the
Grand Cypress Ball Room. Drop in and say hello. Refreshments will be served. This
event is free.
Help us take the fear out of mastectomy with or without reconstruction. We have arranged for a private photography studio in our Show-and-Tell Room for women who wish to be photographed for this project. By appointment only.
Health and Well-being Assessments from Celebration Health
Celebration Health will be offering free health and well-being assessments, which include evaluation of: Body Mass Index, fat distribution, nutrition and micro-nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness. Stop by the Celebration Health booth for your personal assessment. Cost: Free.
Network, Meet Authors, Trace your Ancestry, Speak One-on-One with Experts
Our conference offers three networking sessions where you can meet with experts, authors, or other attendees facing circumstances similar to your own. Networking sessions will be held on Friday during breakfast and lunch, and Saturday during breakfast in the Regency Ballroom. “Girls’ Night In” Pure Romance Party
Join Pure Romance and your FORCE sisters for wine, cheese and a lot of laughter, fun and bonding, and learn about products designed to bring the romance back into our lives. We will offer two parties: Friday, October 19 from 7:30 - 9:00 pm and Saturday, October, 20 from 7:30 - 9:00 pm. Sign up will at the Pure Romance table in our exhibit hall. Pure Romance (www.pureromance.com) will generously donate 20% of all sales to FORCE. Cost: Free.
Cardio Tennis
Cardio Tennis is a high-energy fitness activity that combines the best features of tennis with cardiovascular exercise for players of all ability levels. We will have two cardiotennis sessions: Saturday, October 20 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm and Sunday, October 21, from 8:00 am - 9:30 am. Meet 10 minutes before the start of the class at the hotel lobby to take the shuttle to the courts. Participants must sign up ahead of time. Cost: Free.
Aqua Aerobics
This class is exhilirating and refreshing! Get all the benefits of aerobic exercise in a fun and low-impact format. No experience needed. Sponsored by Celebration Health. Saturday, October 21, from 8:00 - 9:00 pm.
Cost: Free.
Conference Wrap-up "Gene Pool" Party
Let your hair down and relax after the conference at our free pool party! Dip your feet into our "gene pool." Join us poolside, Saturday, October 20, from 9:00 –11:00 PM. The party is free and will feature light fare, music, a cash bar, and a party atmosphere.
