New Attendees

Welcome receptionPlease join us for a free, informal “orientation meet-and-greet” on Thursday, June 12th – 5:00 – 6:00 PM at JW's in the hotel. Meet other first time attendees and pair up with seasoned FORCE members who have attended prior conferences.  Start your conference experience with a set of new friends! This event is free for first time attendees and no registration is required.


Welcome Reception

Join us Thursday, June 12, 8:00 – 9:30 PM in the Independence ballroom for a special welcome reception offering dessert and cocktails. Cost is $35 per person.  Tickets can be purchased through our conference registration page and limited numbers of tickets will be available the night of the party.

Spouse Support Group

We’ll have a Spouse Support Group special meeting on Friday, June 13th at 7:30 PM. This meeting is free for all spouses.



Show & Tell Room

Back by popular demand, our Show & Tell Room offers women who are contemplating mastectomy or reconstruction the opportunity to meet and learn in person from women who have had these procedures. Our Show & Tell Room will be open Friday, June 13, 8:00 – 10:00 PM in the Franklin Ballroom.  Drop in and say hello. Refreshments will be served.  This event is free.

Help us take the fear out of mastectomy with or without reconstruction. We have arranged for a private photography studio in our Show-and-Tell Room for women who wish to be photographed for this project. By appointment only. Contact photographer Kate Berges at: kate@kateberges.com for more information or to reserve your slot.


Zumba Fitness is a fun, high energy aerobic class that includes various dance and cultural influences. For everyone from the beginner to the veteran fitness fan, Zumba is a great way to shake it up and sweat it out. Join Simbonika Spencer, a long-time fitness enthusiast who has been teaching aerobics for over four years. She teaches classes for children, youth and adults of all backgrounds and fitness levels. Zumba class will be held on Saturday, June 14, from 8:00 - 9:00 PM. This event is free but limited to the first 50 people who sign up. In the Family

Watch the documentary, In the Family that provided a realistic glimpse into the complexities of living with a BRCA mutation. Filmmaker Joanna Rudnick captures the impact that HBOC has on women, men, and families facing difficult decisions and navigating complicated relationships. Joanna Rudnick will be available to lead a discussion after the film. The screening will be Friday, June 13 from 9:00 - 11:00 PM in Franklin 1. This event is free but all attendees must wear their conference badges for admission.

Sunday Morning Running Group

Are you a runner? After 2 days in conference rooms, do you want to stretch your legs and exercise? Please join Robin Karlin and other FORCE members for a relaxed 5K loop around Center City on Sunday morning. We will meet in the hotel lobby at 7am. RSVP Robin at: robink@facingourrisk.org.

Network, Meet Authors, Trace your Ancestry, Speak One-on-One with Experts

Our conference offers three networking sessions where you can meet with experts, authors, or other attendees facing circumstances similar to your own. Networking sessions will be held on Friday during breakfast and lunch.
