My journey

Found out about my BRCA1+ status between 1 and 2 years ago. Tested because my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother all had early onset of breast cancer and died before the age of 45. Skin cancer also runs in my family. I have not had cancer. Had an OOPH/ hysterectomy, and a prophylactic mastectomy with 2-step reconstruction.

The hardest part of my journey

Not being able to have biological children.

My participation with FORCE

Just knowing I'm not alone.

I could not have made this journey without my faith in God and the support of my friends and family.
