Know Your Genes
FORCE Launches “Know Your Genes and Fill Them Out” Initiative
Knowing your family medical history can be life-saving. Hereditary cancers tend to occur at a younger age when individuals are less likely to undergo routine cancer screening. This initiative gives people the resources and tools to understand cancer risk and be prepared to make informed decisions if necessary. Empowering people to take control of their health and discover risks of an inherited predisposition to cancer may lead to earlier detection and prevention strategies that ultimately reduce the chance of dying from cancer.
